WOW! The groomers are working overtime with all this new snow! All areas except the campgrounds have been groomed today, Monday. However the beaches are in need as the wind and amount of new snow make it tough out there. We will have two other groomers out there tomorrow, Wednesday. Might be a few “messed up areas” where the sleds get stuck! Think of all the effort! WOW!!

Grooming occurred Friday, Saturday, Sunday and today Monday! WOW! It is perfect. Get out there and ski!

Lots of grooming yesterday, Monday and skiing was very good! We have had maybe 3-5″ overnight and no grooming scheduled for Tuesday today. The base is excellent, the snow light…not heavy like in town….so come out and enjoy. Grooming will commence tomorrow Wednesday.

First day of parking on one side of the road seem to go well. I want to thank EVERYONE for their understanding of the parking situation and their willingness to comply. You are a great group and are all outstanding examples of the courtesy of Nordic Skiers! Thank you so much!

YEa! We are back and running! One sled is repaired and we are awaiting the diagnosis on the other. Roger Pennington groomed this morning with the BIG CAT and Doug, one of our groomers is out there touching up the area.

Sad information! BOTH of our snowmobiles are in the repair shop with as yet unknown/undiagnoised problems. Hopefully we will have some information sometime tomorrow, Thursday. And even more “hopefully” we can get back to grooming sooner rather than later!
The area is skiable especially if you are into a strength workout and don’t mind rough areas. Makes me appreciate even more what the groomers do.

Please note that the Forest Service is putting up NO PARKING signs along the ditch side of the road this week! They will have uniformed personnel up there this coming weekend, one if not both days to help reach compliance. They will not ticket folks unless necessary.
If you have any problems please call the Forest service office at 884-2512 for assistance. This is being done because Mr. Leonard, the snow plow person and the home owners are concerned about access.

One of our groomers was out for nine hours today packing down all that great new snow!! It will remain a little soft for a few days until the freeze/thaw cycle helps to set up the snow. Skiing should be GREAT! I will be out there tomorrow afternoon and report back!!

We recieved about 2 inches last night. We’ll take what we can get. Nearly everything has been groomed out this morning with new classic. We are ready for the weekend. Yippy! Skip work and get some of those new tracks before someone else does. Nick
Skied late this afternoon, and WOW! Grooming had just been completed. Very fast conditions! Remains great, and maybe?? we will get some more snow out of this system coming in!
