Chris, you can rent nordic equipment at Pine Needle Mountaineering on Main Street. There is a donation box at the trail head. Have a good time visiting our area!

Damn DOW – I knew we should not have left that elk there – should have driven it back across to the herd. I blame myself as I know better – know the DOW is utterely incapable of doing something right!
Way to go, DOW, feed it and leave it to coyotes – Geez! ONly good thing to come of the whole mess is that the coyotes and eagles got a much needed meal…
Next time, I will act.

My wife and I are coming to Pagosa Springs from Chicago the week of Mar 5-12.

Where is the best place to rent nordic equipment in the area?

Thanks Rick for pointing out that it was dogs from across the lake. Yes, DOW is aware and appreciates our efforts to help the elk survive, although they are not very optomistic. Please just help to remind folks to stay off South Beach,and remind folks how important it is to keep their dogs TOTALLY under control!

It wasn’t a skiers dog – and I hope DOW knows that- it was two dogs from across the lake that chased the elk all the way across the lake. Glad to hear the elk is still alive, hope it makes it! Can’t believe any elk are still alive up here this year, anything we can do to help!
