Directions to Vallecito Nordic Club trails at Vallecito Lake
From Durango:
Take Florida Road to Helens Store. Take a right on 240 and then take a left on 501. At Vallecito Reservoir, turn right on 501A, crossing over the dam, continuing to the trailhead at Old Timers Campground.
From Bayfield:
Take 501 North to Vallecito Reservoir. Turn right on 501A, crossing over the dam, continuing to the trailhead at Old Timers Campground.
We live above Old Timer’s Campground. Please be conscious of our drive entry at Ellington Lane. There is construction going on above, with trucks coming in and out. Please do not block access for wide turning vehicles at Old Timers.

Last spring I purchased a cabin
in Vallecito, I am a skier and
would like more information on
where I can do some cross country
skiing. I am also interested in
learning more about your Vallecito
Nordic Club. I may be interested
in becoming a member but right now
I would like to know more about
the availability of cross country
trails/forrest roads etc.
My family and I enjoy Nordic/
down hill skiing and hoping for
lots of snow this year I have purchased
my season pass for Purgatory.
